About Us

The Tiptoe Green Trust was set up in 2009 when the local community raised sufficient funds to purchase the field that now forms the Green, with the help of funding from New Forest District Council and Hordle Parish Council.  The Trust is a Charitable Trust administered by a group of Trustees who are all local people.  Volunteers from Tiptoe drew up a management plan and carried out the work to create new hedgerows, a circular path with seats, a children's play area and a wildlife area.  The Green was opened officially in 2011 (see History) and is now maintained by volunteers under the guidance of the Trustees.  It is used for outdoor community events such as the annual May Fayre, and is also available all year round for local people to exercise, picnic, have informal parties and games or just sit and relax (see Using Tiptoe Green).
